VENUE
Most face to face tuition sessions take place at my home in Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire, where I provide access to a laptop, all necessary learning materials and equipment in a quiet, relaxed working space. Face to face sessions may also take place in the tutee’s home if required, but only if travelling distance is reasonable and I have availibility to travel. (Please refer to map below for a guide to general locations covered.) Please note, the higher fee for tuition in a tutee’s home covers my travel expenses and time taken to travel.
Online tuition is via Zoom and requires the student to have audio/visual equipment, a strong internet connection as well as an email address to be able to be invited to sessions. Online sessions are available nationally, and currently 75% of my students access their sessions this way each week with others benefitting from the facility when Covid regulations restricted face to face sessions.

Fees:
I provide a free, no obligation, 45 minute initial consultation with you to establish your requirements for your child. (This can be in person or online via Zoom.)
Fees are quoted for each one hour tuition session for one child and include provision of all equipment and printed resources needed for the session, my planning time, any required marking/feedback as well as travelling expenses/time factor if travelling to your home. There will be a fee increase for the academic year 2025/2026 as follows:
For children in academic years 4-9:
1:1 at tutee’s home – £42.00
1:1 at tutor’s home – £37.00
1:1 Online – £32.00
For GCSE students in academic years 10 & 11 (English Literature & Language only):
1:1 at tutee’s home – £45.00
1:1 at tutor’s home – £40.00
1:1 Online – £37.00
All sessions are block booked for one month in advance.
Terms and conditions:
Fees for all tuition are paid monthly in advance by the date of the first session of the month (by BACs) for which you will be invoiced. These fees are non-refundable if you, the client, cancels for any reason and an alternative session cannot be arranged. If any session needs to be cancelled by myself, the tutor, fees paid will be refunded or carried forward to another session. Where possible I always try to replace a missed session at another time during the same week, convenient to both parties.
Please note: If fees are overdue and not paid within 3 days of the due date on the invoice, sessions will be suspended until fees are paid in full.
